Arts on the Avenue Festival 2023

Vendor Guidlines:

  • All application forms will be processed on a first come, first serve basis and your application does not guarantee you a spot regardless if you have participated in the past or not. Space is limited. 
  • All vendors are provided a space for a 10' x 10' tent. Vendors are responsible for providing their own 10x10 tent as well as any tables, chairs or display units. Tents must be weighed down.
  • Market management reserves the right to re-assign stalls at their discretion.
  • All vendors must respect the 10’x10’ stall size and customer access to neighbouring stalls or the flow of customers through the market.
  • Vendors must keep their stall space and surrounding area clean and remove all debris at the end of the day. Vendors must remove their own garbage. 
  • Vendors will receive detailed instructions regarding setup/takedown and tent location closer to the event.
  • All Vendors must be an current member of the Arts Council. Get your membership at https://artscouncilofladysmithanddistrict.wildapricot.org/
  • Vendors may not sell food products. 
  • Vendors must follow all ACLD protocols (These protocol may change, updated versions will be emailed to the vendor shortly prior to the event). 
Fees
  • Vendor fee payment instructions will be included in the application acceptance email. Payments can be made by credit card, email transfers or cheque.
  • Each 10'x10' Vendor space is $90 for Arts on the Avenue on August 27th, 2023. Vendors are limited to 1 space each. Hours are 10am-4pm.
  • Community Not-for-Profit groups interested in a 10'x10' space will need to pay a $15 fee and are limited to 1 space max. There is limited registration space for community groups.

Jury Criteria
  • All work must represent the artist’s original design. Any work created from a commercial pattern, kit or template will NOT be accepted.
  • Artists may only display and sell work of the same style and quality that has been accepted by the jury.
  • Commercially produced cards must be subordinate to the actual work.
     
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations prior to June 30th, 2023 will receive full refund less $25.00 administration fee.
  • Cancellations after on or after July 1st, 2023 forfeit entire registration fee.
  • $40.00 NSF cheque charge. 
  • All entries will be handled with care. However, festival organizers shall bear no responsibility or liability for loss or damage to submissions.

Indemnification Form

Artist must submit a signed indemnification form before the event.

Copyright:
Artisans must submit their own original work. You are not allowed to use the work of another artisans in part or as a whole. If the work is based on a photograph not taken by you, you must have permission from the photographer. Artists should familiarize themselves with copyright laws and ensure that their work does not infringe on any copyright. If you are unsure, please email our Curator at info@artsontheavenue.ca

 

Cultural Appropriation:
The ACLD respects the cultural rights of all Indigenous Peoples and will not accept artwork for exhibition that may be viewed as cultural appropriation. Please ensure your work is culturally sensitive and appropriate in its content. If you have used any indigenous motifs/designs or cultural symbolism in your work, and you are not a member of the culture from which your work’s inspiration is drawn, you must provide written authorization from a cultural representative.
